Llandovery College visits Glasallt Fawr

On a sunny and beautiful Friday, 22.06.2007, we were happy to welcome some of Llandovery
College's students at Glasallt Fawr whom we know from when we attend their "sport's night"
once a month.
Instead of a group of 8 (which we had expected) it was a group of 11 students plus David,
Llandovery College's sport's coordinator, who came to visit us; as David put it: "They were
all too keen to come!"
Sam and Miles -accompanied by Birgit and other members of Glasallt Fawr's community- gave
them a tour around the site. Hannah explained all about the evening activities held at Glasallt
Fawr. Joanne was particularly impressed by "all the boys"!!! Hannah and Sam were so kind to
allow some visitors into their bedrooms. Some of the students missed Maggie, also Joseph said
hello!
After we had been through the orchard and had passed the vegetable garden Miles showed us
around the "Art's and Craft's Centre" explaining about the paintings and all about mosaic making.
Fiona proudly presented the yellow belt which she had made "especially for her brother David"
during her weaving workshop. Adriana was brave enough to demonstrate how she can weave.
Lydia kindly assisted a bit.
Everyone then played a bit of ball games on the green, and the rabbits were in the centre of
attention for quite some time. Not to forget the recently tidied and rearranged co-worker room
which looked just great!
Hannah then got some of us going doing "dance and aerobics" while others played some table
tennis or simply socialised outside. We then all shared a lovely meal in the Community Centre
with its gorgeous views!! Thank you very much to all who helped clearing up afterwards!!!

Thank you very much, Franziska and Lydia, Barbara and Andy and Roe who helped making that visit
such a success!! Thank you very much, Amy, Emma, Lydia, Hannah, Guido and Roe who prepared such
a delicious supper for everyone!!
