Welcome to Glasallt Fawr
Glasallt Fawr is a registered charity providing a rural residential home for adults with learning disabilities.
The Welsh place name Glasallt Fawr, meaning big blue woods on a hill, is derived from the large woods on site which are smothered with bluebells in the summer.
Glasallt Fawr is situated between the market town of Llandovery and the village of Llangadog, overlooking beautiful Welsh countryside.

This 90 acre farm offers adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to live and work together, in a homely setting. It provides a safe environment and meaningful work, allowing each individual to contribute to the best of their ability and suited to their individual needs and interests.

What they say about us...
We feel that our son is very fulfilled in Glasallt Fawr. The countryside around is glorious and there are many walks and seaside visits possible. Sam adores animals and the farming activities are perfect for him. Sam has real friendships with the other residents who are all around his own age. The staff arrange imaginative trips to theatres, concerts, steam railways, gardens and other local attractions. There are regular visits to the library, the swimming pool and the riding stables. The staff keep us well informed about Sam’s daily activities as Sam has restricted language. We are delighted that he attends Church regularly. Other excellent activities include gardening, life skills, brilliant art & craft work and of course Sam’s favourite, farm workshops. We find the regular parent’s weekends very helpful and everyone feels part of an extended family with strong Camphill ideals. There is much, much more and our thanks to you all.
