Noddfa Barcud trip to St Ishmaels
On 22nd September 2008 some of the residents and staff from Noddfa Barcud
went to St Ishmaels in Pembrokeshire for a short holiday. St Ishmaels is on the Pembrokeshire
coast and we had four nights there staying in a rented cottage.
We had lovely weather throughout our time there, which was very lucky after all the wet weather
over the summer.
One of the highlights of our visit was a boat trip round Ramsey Island. We went to St David's to get the boat
and it was an exciting and interesting trip.
We spent a day on the beach, paddling, walking along the sand with the sea lapping round our feet.
On one of the other days we visited Pembroke Castle which everyone enjoyed. We walked along the
turrets and went down into the dungeons.
During our stay we also enjoyed exploring the local pubs and restaurants.
We arrived back on Friday afternoon tired but happy having had a wonderful holiday
