The Farmhouse go Youth Hostelling to St David's
By Hannah Curtis
On Wednesday 15th October at 1.00pm, I went with Joseph, April, Elaine and Therese on holiday.
We got in the minibus , went to the cashpoint to get money and then to McDonalds for lunch. Later in the
afternoon, once we had arrived at the Youth Hostel, we had teabreak. We then had our showers and went to
The Ship Inn pub for supper. When we got back to the Hostel we had camomile tea and went to bed.
On Thursday we got up at 8.00 and had our showers. We had breakfast in the hostel which cost £4.00.
We went to the town, St David's, to do some shopping. We ate some nice rolls in the Food Hall.
We paid £22 to go on a boat to see the seals, birds and sealions which was great fun.
We went to The Ship Inn again for supper and even had pudding.
We stayed at Ysgol (school) Youth Hostel. It can have 21 people staying there at the same time and we all
had keys for our rooms. April,Elaine and Therese were in room 3 and Hannah in room 4. Joseph was in room 5.
When we arrived early, we went for a walk.
On Friday we had breakfast in a pub next to the seaside. I (Hannah) had croissants, juice and hot chocolate.
We went to look at the weavery but it was closed. We went to the cathedral and looked around and got a
blessing from a lady. I said sorry for my sins and then we went to Haverfordwest shopping and to have lunch.
Then we came back to Glasallt Fawr and had a goodbye tea party for Elaine who is going to work in Noddfa Barcud.
