A short holiday in Butlins


On the 18th September Ashley and David went on a four day holiday to Butlins in Minehead, supported by
Kizzy and Jess. There were lots of activities for them to take part in such as swimming, ten-pin bowling
and the fun fair. David was very insistent that he wanted to go on an upside-down ride and Kizzy reluctantly
agreed to go on with him. David really enjoyed the ride but Kizzy wasn't so sure about it.

The entertainment in the evenings was a big hit. David and Ashley both thoroughly enjoyed this, especially the
Sunday entertainment which was provided by some acts from 'Britain's got Talent'. The entertainers included
DJ Talent and Stavros Flatley.

We walked into the local town, Minehead, and visited several shops and restaurants throughout our stay. The
highlight of the holiday was the swimming pool which had a wave machine and several water rides to choose from.


David and Ashley also enjoyed going to the pub for a couple of pints in the evening and on one afternoon sitting
in the beer garden of the Irish Pub enjoying a cold glass of lager. :)
